Webinar invitation: An ecological framework for teachers’ interdisciplinary learning

In this webinar, we will present an initial framework for  developing teachers’ interdisciplinary expertise.

It addresses the growing need for teachers to engage with the complex challenges of 21st-century teaching and work with knowledge from different fields. The framework is based on an ecological perspective that considers teachers’ personal resourcefulness within their immediate environment and the wider institutional and societal contexts.

To date, the project team has worked with diverse education stakeholders to co-create this initial framework. Next steps will include 1) refining this framework ; and 2) co-creating a set of reusable resources for integrating the development of interdisciplinary expertise across formal and informal pre-service and in-service teacher education contexts.

We hope you can join this webinar to share your feedback about this draft framework and next steps.

This translational research project is funded by the NSW Department of Education.
